Title: I Am Confused - Fender Question Post by: ducati_tim on April 26, 2009, 04:31:35 PM Because of a recent front fender problem, I decided to look for a carbon fiber replacement. On the Motowheels site they have advertised a "CF Front Fender: Monster <'99"
(http://www.motowheels.com/italian/images%5Clg903027479.jpg) This looks like a lot like my 2000's front fender: (http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x35/mosbychelsea/Photo117.jpg) This is what they have advertised for "CF Front Fender: Monster 2000+" (http://www.motowheels.com/italian/images%5Clg164861873.jpg) Could my 2000 have a '99 front fender? the difference is in the spacing of the mounts (40vs 65) yours looks like a regular 00+ fender to me (although you are holding it aloft like Excalibur [cheeky]) Title: Re: I Am Confused Post by: ducpainter on April 26, 2009, 05:10:24 PM <snip> I think he's camera shy. ;D(although you are holding it aloft like Excalibur [cheeky]) Title: Re: I Am Confused Post by: ducati_tim on April 26, 2009, 06:34:11 PM I think he's camera shy. ;D It was more due to the messy room :PTitle: Re: I Am Confused - Fender Question Post by: Drunken Monkey on April 26, 2009, 10:34:02 PM I got a spare fender. You need 65 mm spacing.. about the only differences in the 65 mm spacing was on for the bikes that had cable driven speedos. Those fenders had a mounting point for a wire loop to support/guide the cable.. which isn't really necessary. I didtch my stock fender a couple years ago on my '00 and it's been fine Title: Re: I Am Confused - Fender Question Post by: Juan on April 27, 2009, 12:37:56 PM I have a front fender also, it is yours if you want it.
