Title: brake issues
Post by: Scoby2duc on April 28, 2009, 07:04:33 PM
lately I have noticed that as I stop weather its from 30 or 60 just before 0 I get a vib or chatter from the front brake and I notice that the front rotors are kinda glazed and discolored I have about 65% pad left and it stops damn good should I be worried?

Note: I am thinking about taking some emry cloth to the rotors just to clean them up a bit  any info would be helpfull

You'll get a bunch of opinions.

its not that they are warpped it is diffrent the chatter only happens as i come to a complete stop (4+-mph and 0) other than that the brakes are smooth and bite good

Did you read through ducpainter's link to www.stoptech.com? (//http://)  It's not about warped rotors.

At first I thought that was the subject but I was in a rush to get to work after reading it I was able to see the real subject and would like to say thank you for the informative link, it sounds like everything is working proper and I should do nothing till I use these up and replace them with a slight upgrade

Cleaning both pads and rotors then re-bedding them will help.  I wouldn't wait.
