Title: Leo Vince Grape Crush Run (for charity) May 14th
Post by: jimboecv on April 30, 2009, 11:24:41 AM
Mid week = less traffic  [moto]

Starts at their shop/office in Richmond, ends at Searspointracewayatinfionmegabucks.

A ton of give aways (helmets, gear, pipes, gps' tee shirts swag a bunch of other stuff and maybe, just maybe something with a vin # - very much a work in progress - no promise!)
Some sort of moto-rock stars will be in attendance like
Jason Britton,  popawheelie burnout guy
Attack Kawasaki
KWS Aprilia
Michael Jordan Motorsports
Steve Drew (2008 AMA Supermoto Unlimited Champion), and Eric Hoenshell who I've never heard of.
PLUS as always, the usual never-beens like myself.

$40 includes a swanky tee shirt, lunch and the after ride heavy appetizers w/ keganator-ger.

Be there or miss the ride legends are made upon,

Thanks for the heads up Jim!  This looks like a really fun event. I posted it up on the SF Ducati group on fb and have a few takers.  I'm going to check how the weather is next week before I buy my ticket but as long as it doesn't rain and my flight arrives from Sydney on May 13th, I'm in for the 14th!  ;D

If anyone is interested in riding an Aprilia demo that day let me know via PM.  We have several
 -no RSV4's-
 available for the entire day.

C/A - bummer!  The weather should be fantastic... and the company if I must say.

Brapp!

What fun.  (If you had fun, raise your hand).  A hint of wind to keep things cool.

Minimal drama, killer swag, yummies for breakfast, lunch and dinner and mondo photo opps.
Had a great time.  Photos coming soon.

I live in SF and work in Richmond, but travel to Pinole, Oakland, and Alameda. I wanted to go to this since it's near my work, but I had a presentation to give today. I find out last minute they had to reschedule me, but it was too late to join the ride. On my way to Pinole, I'm in the carpool lane on 80 behind a bus. Prolly a bit too close because out of no where an orange cone comes flying out. I avoid hitting the base of the cone, but rode over the tip. I go into a speed wobble, but didn't panic and allowed the bike to correct itself. All I could think about was the cheese steak sandwich I was going to miss if I went down. I didn't, but I think I pee'd a little... :-[
