Title: flashing red light
Post by: hawk1996 on May 01, 2009, 11:42:07 AM
Hi, I just got a new 2009 monster 696 and when I shut it off after riding it home there is a flashing red light on the instrument panel, right above where the tach is, what does that mean?

Thanks

That's the signal to you and others that the immobilizer is working. On my bike it stops flashing after 24 hours.

So after the bikes been off for 24 hours it will stop flashing?  Then when you ride again and shut off it will flash for 24 again then stop?

yes, its like the flashing light for the car alarm on many cars.

probably describes it in your manual.
