I've got a M1000 with a metal tank which I'm replacing with a plastic tank. I've just realised that I will have 2 fuel pressure regulators - the original one under the airbox and the new one which is part of the pump assembly inside the plastic tank.
Has anyone fitted a plastic tank and left the original regulator in the line? As I see it, the original regulator will always be open so the return line to the tank will have the full 3 bar pressure until it meets the regulator inside the tank. On my bike the writing on the return line is different to the pressure lines but googling it doesn't give any info so can anyone comment on the spec of the return line?
Obviously I could remove the original regulator but leaving it in place gives me the option of easily fitting the metal tank again.
