My 907 has mechanical tach and just work so nice, steady & correct.
Have -96 SS heads on my Monster w output f same tach.
Anyone has wire tach on a carbed Monster? Works good or problems?
Seems like wire would get some sharp angles on it over oil cooler & frame, wonder if it will work.
I stopped using the mech ones years ago and only use eclectric ones. Just make a plate to block off the mech drive on the front head.
Swapped a '93 SS900 motor into a '99 M750 a couple years ago and just used the SS gauges including the cable-driven tach. Worked just fine.
Also if you need a tacho-drive unit for your SS heads, I have a complete setup I'm not using.
Ahhh, finally some answers, I was feeling really (http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/oldgit.gif)

I think I'm in love. ;D
Hear, hear!
Quite happy w the 907, thought of even not register the Monster this year.
Took a ride and begged her for forgiveness all afternoon after.... [thumbsup]
