So I've had my new bike home and riding her since Thursday. I'm enjoying her a lot as I get to learn what makes her tick (first Ducati- been A KZ fan for years with the odd borrowing of random bikes here and there).
Yesterday, she told me she was thirsty so it was time to buy her a drink.
Being the snob that she is, I treated her to the racing fuel from Gas City. I think its like 103/108 octane.
I wasn't big on the tangerine color but yesterday when I went into a dealership to ask about something, there was an 08' S2r in black on the floor. Then I realized that I love my tangerine color. All I need to do is black out some more bits and she's going to be sooo uber sexy. I've also been getting complements on her color too.
What I do get a lot of questions about are the frame sliders. People ask what they are and when I explain they usually are "Oh cool... how did you get them to match the bike?" The writing in the slider happens to be tangerine too which is funny.
So far, so good... and summer hasn't even started yet! ;D
Just my random! Carry on!

FYI, unless your bike is tuned for race gas they love 87 (According to Bruce of BCM fame and Eric @ Clubhouse, two authorities on the subject) [moto]

You have a good point. I just got in the habit of always putting race fuel in my bikes (since my first one) because the guy who taught me to ride was a track guy. But he also had a nasty cocaine habit (part of the reason why I no longer have anything to do with him) so "faster, more" was always on his mind.
*sigh* I was really stupid when I was 19.

Everyone was ;D

right on.
And yeah, +1 to the octane suggestion above. "More" octane won't yield any gains if the engine isn't built to burn it up.
Buy 87 and send me the difference in price if it makes you feel better ;)
Andy
108 is a good way to burn a hole in the pistons.
what is that shit like $8.00 per gallon. :P
high octane needs more heat and compression to combust. so unless your running high comp kits you probably wont even benefit from using the 93 octane stuff at pumps. you wil even see a huge boost of MPG by using 87.

There ought to be some warning system that reminds you when presenting a new bike to fellow members you shouldn't forget pictures... [popcorn]
So, you are a she and your bike is a sshe... ;)
All bikes are she, no?
At least all of mine have been.
And c'mon... look at the lines of the monster. Since when did a dude look like that? Especially when you look at her from the top view. There is no way a monster is anything but a she.

Hmm
My GF refers to my ZX12R as "cute" ??? ... but the S4R as "manly" 8)

I still need convincing on the tangerine thing, pictures would help :)
Nice post though [thumbsup]
Oh, and I wasn't stupid when I was 19, and I regret it.

I will post pictures in a month or so. I am upset because the mods I was going to do this weekend fell through. So once I can replace the mirrors, get rid of the reflectors, and spray paint the belt covers, I will post. =)

take a look at what stu did with an s4rs and if you want to go in the opposite direction of blacking thing out to making everything silver, that looks just as good but in a different way...
good luck with all the mods.

I agree!!! [thumbsup] [bow_down] The curves of the tank remind me of a women everytime I sit on her.

Have to agree with you there... for one main reason. I don't ride dudes.

Here's one more compliment on the tangerine and speedymoto sliders.
P.S. my bike isn't a he OR a she.
bikes are she.
boats are she.
it's just the way it is.
S4R is a very powerful she. like that runner where you could see the muscles in her legs.

Yep - its just how it is. Bikes are girls.

i think in russia, boats are a "he"..........not that it has anything to do with bikes. or this thread.
herm- thanks for the tidbit. I'll have to stop saying that about boats. My dad was in the Coast Guard and always used the pronoun 'she'.
Back on topic:
bikes are great fun to ride. (no matter if or what we name them, if we personify them, whip them, beat them or hit the rev limiter - they're just damn fun!!!)
