Title: Tank blanket
Post by: scott_araujo on May 08, 2009, 05:55:40 PM
Y'know that little piece of foam and fabric insulation that sticks to the bottom of the tank?  How necessary is it?  Mine is collapsed on one side and just dropped a whole bunch of foam dust all over.  Can I just toss it or should I get a new one from Ducati?  Are these pricey?

Thanks,
Scott

isn't that just for sound dampening?

Yeah, you guys must be right.  It's not over the engine, just the air cleaner.  Away it goes!

+1.  Its just for to dampen the noise from the air box.  I'd get a new one but if you don't want to you don't have to.
