Title: What is with BMW keeping the cock-eyed look?
Post by: Six95 on May 10, 2009, 06:55:17 PM
http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2009/05/2010-bmw-s1000rr-most-powerful.html (http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2009/05/2010-bmw-s1000rr-most-powerful.html)

note the use of assymetric fairings to match the wonkie-eyeballs.
Each side looks good but obviously they could not choose.

I think you meant could (not would) ... with a face like that, mum still needs to be able to opt out I reckon.

this is the motorcycling equivalent of trying to have a one=to-one conversation with a bloke who is cross-eyed, your not quite sure where you should focus...and in the end you just feel a little off kilter and need to lie down.

with the sorts of figures we are seeing from the 1198 and the S1000RR....the power to weight ratio's must be getting very close (if not even) with F1 cars...but on the street.....with the same license it takes to putter a a vespa around.....amazing but kind of concerning too!

wow, there's an intensive 3 day tech training course i'm glad i'm missing.

at least the trainers at mulgrave allow us all to see through the propoganda.  i'm sure it's a good thing, but really it's just their take on the ujm because, when push comes to shove, that's the most efficient package for what it's intended to do.  win races.  it's also quite a step away from what makes other bikes in the range good road bikes, but that's what the segment is all about.  wonder if it can catch a 1200gs in the alps?

although their results so far are pretty crappy.  two other new bikes on the grid doing much better than them and only beating kawasaki.  i dont really buy the development year bullshit.  it'll be floating or sunk by the end of this year.

and then it'll be just another expensive 1000cc in line 4.  with lots of tricky add ons in typical bmw fashion of course.  and wheelie control.  sort of says it all.

"my 1000cc sport bike won't wheelie".
"no sir, that'll be the wheelie control".
"the make the beast with two backsin' what?"

oh yeah.
