Title: Nasty stumble off idle
Post by: jerryz on May 14, 2009, 12:55:46 PM
My monster 750 is smooth as silk as soon as I get off idle 1/12th throttle but from tickover to that point there is a slight stumble , carbs are perfectly balanced and air screws seem fine , before i dismantle the carbs to check pilot jet or float heights any other suggestions.
I know its a minimal issue but my 750ss does not do this.

Half a turn out on the idle mixture screws fixed that on the M900 that I used to own.

The recommended setting was 3.5 turns out, but 4 turns out made it behave quite a bit better at small throttle openings.  This was the case both for the 1996 and the 1997 M900's that I owned.
