Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: psycledelic on May 19, 2009, 07:47:16 PM With a bike like that, I would probably spend the money and mod myself. I am thinking an enlargement procedure so that it would look like a rolled up beach towel in my one piece, white Italian leathers. Then I would just lean up against it at the local coffee shop and smile at the ladies.
Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: scott_araujo on May 19, 2009, 09:43:37 PM 'Monster-ize' it! Remove the fairing, tubular bars, and chop off every piece you can!
Scott Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: Drunken Monkey on May 19, 2009, 09:58:23 PM Sorrry, but this comment:
I am thinking an enlargement procedure so that it would look like a rolled up beach towel in my one piece, white Italian leathers. Immediately followed by his comment 'Monster-ize' it! Remove the fairing, tubular bars, and chop off every piece you can! Is just plain disturbing I mean I got the fairing got removed at birth (Jewish dad) but no way am I letting them chop off any more! And I think tubular bars are called a "prince albert" Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: pennyrobber on May 19, 2009, 10:24:55 PM I would have a full time model to sit on it when I am not riding the thing.
Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: DucHead on May 20, 2009, 03:21:21 AM There was a D16 at Carolina Motorsports Park on Monday. The rider seemed to have difficulties keeping the front wheel on the ground.
I got passed all day long, but nothing accelerated out of a turn like that D16. It sounds absolutely wicked too. I heard the D16 Termi exhaust is 8000USD. Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: geoffduc on May 20, 2009, 03:52:29 AM I followed one on a ride out from the local ducati store which had had the exhaust replaced by one supplied and fitted by John Hacket [bow_down](i think it was ex moto gp) and boy was the sound awesome, there was a drain pipe sized pipe coming out under the seat and a small pipe exiting at the botom of the right side lower fairing my ears were still ringing two days later [thumbsup]
[coffee] Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: caperix on May 20, 2009, 06:03:58 PM I know one got wrecked at Jennings GP at a US Desmo track day awile back. There used to be a video of it on Youtube. I'm sure the Carbon body work is not cheap, I'd love to see one as a street fighter.
Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: teddy037.2 on May 20, 2009, 07:08:01 PM sheesh, and I fig'd the only mods you'd need for a D16 would be:
starbucks cupholder (CF, of course!) an umbrella girl, who will meet up at EVERY coffee break so you don't have to leave the parking lot it's own facebook page Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: El Matador on May 20, 2009, 10:26:31 PM I heard the D16 Termi exhaust is 8000USD. Yup. It comes with a whole new Carbon Fiber lower fairing. Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: moto on May 24, 2009, 09:41:08 PM We've sold a lot of race body kits, BST carbon wheels, sliders and carbon pieces.
Most of our D16 customers are tracking them. -M Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: stopintime on May 26, 2009, 10:28:36 AM I guess this could bring us a bit closer? A little StreetFighter here and there - 350 lbs and 200 hp - not a bad design from that guy this time?

Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: hihhs on May 26, 2009, 10:36:08 PM A very small "bumper sticker" of LEDs that reads,
MY OTHER CAR IS A BUGATTI VEYRON Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes? Post by: DCXCV on May 27, 2009, 02:55:23 PM Doesn't the news keep saying we are in a recession? Scott We are. People who can afford a D16 are not. We've sold a lot of race body kits, BST carbon wheels, sliders and carbon pieces. Most of our D16 customers are tracking them. -M Well the idea that most of the owners are using them properly is certainly refreshing. Title: Re: How does Desmosedici owners mod their bikes?
