A co-worker of mine has to put together a safety brief on motorcycle safety. He usually uses gory pictures to shock some sense into people. They told him that he couldn't do that this month and he has to find something else. I told him about a series of pictures I had seen, taken as a motorcycle was over the double yellow and side swipes an SUV busting out the glass and losing his shoes. I think the rider was riding the tail of the dragon, but I'm not 100% on that. The series of pictures shows the accident in almost a frame by frame progression. We thought it would be great for the brief, but I can't seem to find where I saw that series. Anyone have it saved or can provide a link? Thanks.

Thanks so much. This board and the people on it are awesome. Hopefully this will help remind the young Marines and Sailors to be safe.

No problem, stay safe out there. [thumbsup] [beer]
... when you get hit by a car sometimes your shoes will fly off, sometimes your pants will come off, but I was not fortunate enough to see the pants portion ...

IIRC ZeePhoto took the original pics. Look her up on the web and see if she's got more. Might be worth contacting Killboy or US129 photo. That's far from the only set of crash sequence photos out there ~

Classic!!!! [laugh]
Man is he lucky that was a glancing blow.....
It happens pretty quickly. In that first frame, he has just made contact, and his left shoe is already torn off. That "glancing blow" could not have felt good.
I think a glancing blow is better than a head on, no? They both suck...

This may be a stupid question; what is "tail of the dragon"?
