Does this look like the right thing for me to use on my tank?

How easy is this? It says that there is a brush included for applying the coating to the inside of the tank. I don't see how there's any way for me to reach into the tank to use a brush in there... ??? Maybe I shouldn't try this myself and I should have Speeddog do it for me? Whatcha think? I'm a bit short on coin right now so that's why I was considering doing it myself.
Oh, also, welding the hing has been suggested since I'm working with the tank. How can I tell if this has been done already? I haven't had any problems with gas leaks around the hinge.
That's the kit you need....the brush isn't that useful. ;)
It's not difficult, but it is messy. You do need to figure out how to block off the filler, sender hole, and fuel outlet so you can use the two solutions.
If you follow the directions to the letter it works great.

If you don't have the hinge welded and it starts to leak after you do the POR 15 you'll have to re-apply the POR after the welding is done, you may as well bite the bullet and do it now. If you look at the bottom of the tank and the hinge plate is only spot welded, then the repair hasn't been done.
If your tank is leaking at the hinge just using the POR15 may not solve your problem, those cracks tend to grow with time. And you don't want to weld the tank, you want to get it brazed. It's like soldering but at higher temperatures and using brass instead of lead/tin/silver. If you get it brazed you may not even need the POR15, I didn't. I just had this happen recently and had it repaired. Have the shop that does the brazing pressure test the tank. No leak, no need for POR15.

All that and grease the fuel pump before you try to put it back into its mount. SaltLick recommended this after it took him hours to get it back in, it took me a few minutes.

Bah, waddaya know. I do have a leaky hing. Wouldn't have known it if I didn't go looking for it. [roll] It looks like I'll be paying Nick a visit.
