Title: The mod bug Post by: andy1327 on May 22, 2009, 11:01:26 AM So its been about 2 1/2 years since I first got my monster.
The first year I didn't do anything to it aside from maintenance. (and ride it of course) Last winter I started poking around and decided to loose the fork reflectors and modify the tail, not chop it. I also modified my stock air box. You all might get a kick out of my air box but it works beautify. Now summer is here again and after a couple weeks on the road I have decided to go through with a few things I have been wanting to do for awhile now. So this week I chopped the tail, for around 10 dollars. Mounted my plate under tail. I installed a 14t Sprocket, removed my rear hugger and belt covers, wanting to modify belt covers and replace them, and removed the emissions canister. I just purchased a set of Leo Vince pipes off a wrecked monster and have a pair of classic Ducati tank decals coming from Twisted Vinyl. Right now it is a work in progress as I wait for a few more parts to arrive, but through out this process I have developed a greater emotional connection to my bike, and I think that's what It's all about. It is really starting to feel like my monster not just a monster. I will post a picture once I finish and get her all shined up. [thumbsup] Ps. I can't stop drooling over Cellis' Monster, anyone else having that issue? Post pictures sooner than later, it's never "finished" anyway... Celli's creation is not a bike - it's what we have instead of porn [bow_down] Title: Re: The mod bug Post by: ungeheuer on May 23, 2009, 04:01:11 AM ..... it's never "finished" anyway... +1 Just when I think I'm about to stand back and admire my completed monstrosity....... along comes another piece of "must-have" bling [evil]. I don't even try to fight the urge anymore, I am powerless to resist......so formidable is the grasp of the Mod Virus. Title: Re: The mod bug Post by: Scotzman on May 23, 2009, 10:35:00 AM I am powerless to resist
[laugh] I think this is the first step to recovery. Title: Re: The mod bug Post by: teddy037.2 on May 23, 2009, 03:04:39 PM you will be assimilated.
resistance is futile. :D Title: Re: The mod bug Post by: Goat_Herder on May 24, 2009, 09:32:24 AM Medically speaking I think it's actually a virus, not a bug - good to know you've got it too [thumbsup] Post pictures sooner than later, it's never "finished" anyway...
