Title: Can you identify the fairing upper on this Ducati 1000SS racebike?

Anybody know what bike this Ducati 1000SS's race fairign upper came from?

i like that a lot. I wonder if a DS1000 would bolt onto a SBK frame.

That's it!   Thanks, Nate.   I had never heard of them, but found their website due to your ID.  They have quite the assortment of Ducati goodies!

I think I will be getting one of these ... later this year, when I'm in a little better financial condition!

If you buy one...

make sure you get a screen also.

The stock SS screen does not fit.

I painted one for a customer over the winter.

Also the one I did had recesses for lights in the sides that required filling.

Donnie Unger of DucPond MotoSports in Winchester, VA, just yesterday showed me a customer bike he built.  He had converted it to a superbike single sided swingarm (modifying and adding a shock rocker mount to the frame), and the motor had a Ducati 749R crank, titanium rods, and 1100 pistons.  Very short stroke, required trimming the cylinder base spigots.  A very cool trackbike.
