Roadracing was a company that made some flash stuff.  They ceased production a while ago, but their parts are still in demand.  Anyones that pop up here, there or ebay are snatched up quickly.

As noted you passenger seat cowl is one of their parts - and so is that gas tank.  So there was no Ducati production 'Road Racing' edition - but you've got a very rare bit of kit in that tank.  First one I've seen in the wild.

so this was custom or factory installed ,or no way of knowing?
p.s. thanks for the reply, [thumbsup]the seat cowl is scrathed up pretty good so i took it off, the tach says road racing also!

Custom in as much as they prev owner replaced the stock tank.  it's not a 1 of a kind item- but it is rare.  Roadracing produced them as a commercial run - but I think they were pretty pricey.  It's sort of like a carbon fiber tank now.  Commercially made, but not a common item.  It would not have been factory installed.

There's a small chance that you bike was the product model for Roadracing to do their photos - but I doubt that.

But someone spent some money - none of that roadracing stuff was cheap

You've tipped you hand... now he might come for *you* to complete his collection  ;D

- Elephantrider - keep an eye on on ebay and the parts sale section on this site.  Once in a blue moon other RR parts will show up.  As mentioned they made wheel huggers, chain guards lower fiarings (bolts to the bottom of the engine) that match up to what you currently have.  They also made an under bike 'hidden' exhaust.  There's one for a 900 for sale in the parts section right now.  But it won't fit your 750, the headers will be too long.

to keep on the safe side, I would be willing to give up the chain guard to elephant ( or anyone else, for that matter) if you cover the shipping. I have never installed it, and have no plans to. Its brand new, tho it has no installation hardware and I never really looked to see what it would take to put it on.
pm me - Jimmy

The seat cowl is probably the easiest part to find as it was an official DP part made by roadracing.
Theres an ebayer in germany with a few.

The ducts are awesome i have em on my bike.
