Bike just underwent complete overhaul and is 2002 S4 The engine was not touched other than a valve adjust...
The bike was running and idling fine although I have not taken it for a ride yet but it was idling for at least 10 to 15 minutes without any hiccups.
Problem is that now when I start the bike it jumps up to 6000 rpm and stays there. The throttle bodies are closed when this occurs. I have checked the TPS for loose connections and everything appears to be tight.
Fuel injection lines were moved from the right side of the bike to the left and there were no kinks etc they are, however, longer than stock. I'm not sure the length matters and believe that the fuel pump should have no trouble pumping fuel the added 8"...
anyone have any other places I should look?
Did you mess with any of your controls? If you did, check your fast idle and throttle cables. Simple things first...
Then check for vacuum leaks.
Fixed.
Throttle was opening full lock left causing opening...
I actually checked that before getting it running but the tank wasn't on. After I put the tank on I readjusted the stops but never checked the throttle cable again.
Thanks for the help guys!!
