Going to Italy and have different converters but don't know which one to bring?
First one simply has two round prongs about 1.5 cm apart. Each prong is 3mm round. Looks like this . .
Second one has two blades at approx. 60 degrees. Each blade is 6mm. Looks something like this / \
Third adapter has two horizontal blades (6mm) and one vertical, longer blade (8mm) arranged something like - -

Hmmmmmmm. I'm so confused. Apparently Blackberry didn't give me one of those with my "global" phone. Guess it's time to go shopping at the travel store for a real converter. Thanks.

Look at your charger and see if it is rated for 100-240V and 50/60Hz. If it is, then all you need is an adapter like shown above, not a converter.
If it is only rated for 120V, then you need a converter as well.

I actually don't have a converter, just different adapter plugs for my Blackberry charger. Either way, I don't even have plugs that look like what NAKID posted. oi !
I think the middle plug is a ground. Check this out from amazon.

Thanks NAKID. Since I'm leaving Sunday, I'm just going to run out and business expense the first one I find. But didn't really want to unnecessarily take adapters that I don't need for Italy. I checked out your link from Amazon. None of those plugs pictured looks like the picture that you posted here, but thanks for the attempt.
Like I said, I think the third (middle) plug is the ground plug like the round third one on American plugs...

In Italy this is the one you want, just make sure what ever you are plugging in will handle 240 v

Went shopping and it turns out that the correct adapter plug only cost me $4. It was the first one with the two round prongs. Also learned that this will suffice for most modern electronics that are dual voltage 110/240. Thanks all for the input. Now it's time to run a few more reports then on to packing for Italy. Lucky me.

Check your old cell phone boxes and see if you have EUR adaptors. The more you have, the more you can plug in, i.e. phone, i-pod, computer, etc.

Also just for reference, Hong Kong and Singapore also use the UK/Ireland style plugs.
China has a mix of outlet types, most common is the Ozzie style.
And Switzerland has the Euro prongs but requires a skinny plug, so please note that not all Europe-type adapters will work for Switzerland.
Japan uses 110V and US style plugs but many of their outlets are only 2-prong, not 3-prong.

Don't forget that Japan is also only 50Hz, not 60 like the U.S.
