Title: Need Mikuni Float Height spec
Post by: sk8board on June 06, 2009, 08:44:04 AM
I am changing the pilot jets in my 2001 M600. While I am at it, I wanted to set the float height.

I have looked thru the Ducati Workshop Manual three times and I can find every carb spec except the float height.

My carbs are currently set at 12.5mm and 13mm. I have searched the internet and found some use a spec of 14mm and others use 15mm.

Do you know what the float height spec is? If so, were did you find that spec?

I was looking in my Haynes Ducati book, and it says that Ducati doesn't provide the float heightspec.
Your best bet is to contact your local Ducati shop, and sweet talk the people in the service department for the specs.

BC.

Thanks for the info.

This makes me wonder what a Factory Jet Kit recommends for float height.

Anyone got a clue?

The website stated that Factory recommended 14mm float height. I set my carbs to that spec and it runs great with the new pilot jet. [thumbsup]

Thank you!
