Did this happen on Saturday at EC?, my cousin high sided his R6. He is in hospital with broken left ankle, broken left wrist, broken right fingers and compressed vertebra. Should be out Friday, racing in six weeks

There seemed to be a lot of people coming down on Saturday.
Found out lots of people were using it as a practice day for the up coming race you mention.

As far as the R1 going down, who cares it's a track pregnant dog and that's what it's meant to do.
Rider is fine and in fact recovered almost before he'd hit the ground.

Saw the bike today, barley more damage than it had the week before when it came from the auctions with damage.

Charging up the Camera as we speak!  [cheeky]

Have been doing 1:43 on the Desmo consistant for the last few track days. Did a 1:43 on the R1 after 2 sessions.the Desmo is allot harder to ride physically and mentally than the R1 by a mile. The fact that i binned the R1 had nothing to do with the lap times, as i was in the white group showing a mate some lines doing probably 1:58's.I think with a bit of tweeking on the suspension, I can pull a 1:40 flat with in a few trackdays on it, it's so easy to ride its unbelievable any one can do good times on it.In all honesty i cant see my self riding it for a very long time, its just missing that raw power feeling the Desmo has .its defiantly a mass production machine built to a high quality and doing exactly what it was designed for giving the rider self satisfaction in their riding ability.

Believe me, as soon as I heard the news, I started scouring the web for pics of the incident (or even a post incident shot!)
It would be remiss of me to pass up an opportunity to give it to my good friend Vincenzo - he expects nothing less!
