thanks to the recent problems with my g/fs car i finally found out what was causing that odd noise it made when the revs were increased. (btw, it also needs a new rad, rad hoses, and he said a head gasket)
i didn't know what a bad bearing sounded like until now.
so it's either buy an engine or a new car. but i'm not here to discuss that.
i found a scion in good shape with under 15K mi.
anyone have any experience with them? (yes randy, i know it's a toyota and will last through a nuclear holocaust [cheeky])
i'm looking for things like "my water pump went at 40K" or "tie rods keep breaking" or "the car raped my lawnmower"
My sister-in-law's father-in-law has one. I've ridden in it. It's nice, peppy and he hasn't had a single problem. 2.4l I-4 making about 170-175hp...

how long has he had it? any idea of the mileage?
At least 3 or 4 years. It's his daily driver, but I don't know the mileage...
