Title: Things to do in Toronto/Hamilton/Burlington?
Post by: Mad Duc on June 12, 2009, 07:30:59 AM

I'm heading up for work for a few days. Any suggestions on what to do/see or where to eat? I am working during the day but nights I will have free.

If you're a hockey fan, the hockey hall of fame is in Toronto.

Crap, they close at 6, not really enough time to get there and look around. :( I think that will be a common problem any touristy place I would want to hit...

Where a good place to get Poutine?

That's more Quebec, but you might find something. I plan on going to Toronto later this summer. It's been a while since I've been there.

You can eat at Wayne Gretzky's restaurant, its somewhere in downtown Toronto. As I remember the food was pretty good.

Try and go to the CN tower, there were a lot of things to do there. Theres a glass floor about 1500 feet up, its pretty neat.

Cool, thanks for the ideas. I'm driving up from Pgh Sunday.  They are making me take a rental car - stupid ass automatic. Ugh. I hate automatics.

Sure, that sounds cool. I was planning at stopping at the Casinos on the Canadian side for dinner so we can either to that or somewhere in Buffalo.  I'm up for anything.  [beer]

I'm not legal to return to US, so meeting in Niagara Falls is out.

There are some great restuarants not far of the thruway in Downtown.  Let me know what your up for.

You crossing at the Peace or Rainbow Bridge?

F'ing horrible time. Never even made it to Toronto. I had one night I wasn't there til late. I have exactly one good dinner out - The Keg, a great steak place. The rest was the plant's craphole cafe and fast food.

Missed meeting up with DesmoDiva because I had took off too late from Pgh. Sorry about that DesmoDiva. :(
