"If you have to put 'rare' in the description, it is very likely that your item is anything but."
A 20 year old bike is not "just like new", I don't care how good the condition is. [popcorn]
Rips, tears, scratches, and scuff marks do not give your item "character".
Bad photographs do not make your item "must see".

what if IZ took it?

Wouldn't his photos make the item "Can't see"?
Just because you have $40,000 "invested" in your Harley, doesn't make it an "investment". If it is such a great investment, why are you asking $10,000 for it?
"Collectible" means that's its only value or purpose.
"Ran when parked" means it doesnt now.
Posting pictures is almost as easy as posting the ad. If you're selling a motorcycle, You should have at least 3-4 full-bike pictures and 4-5 close ups of the engine, brakes, tire, gages, etc
"Don't use the words 'Estate Sale' unless you actually know what it means."
So many sales on the local Cl are marked as Estate Sales - I don't think people know what it means but they think it will sell their items faster. It kinda caught on and they aren't giving it up...
L@@K! Minty POS. Many OEM parts. Selling for a friend. Not Ducati, BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, Kawasaki, Porsche, Nikon, or Rolex
Yeah, gotta hate that NOT in front of everything. What good does it do to draw people to your auction if they aren't your intended buyers? Are you getting paid per page view? I think not...

Some of us just have RSS feeds for our craigslists. This means that I get all of the listings for Ducati branded Oakley sunglasses in with my bikes...

it's funny, i put "-NOT" in all my ebay searches now. i figure even if it is something I want, i don't want to buy it from an asshat.

I hate the keyword droppers, where they list every possible bike brand at the bottom... I was looking for a Ducati, not your crappy gixxer.
There was an ad for a "Like New Yamaha R1" that had a hole in the right side engine case. not like a small hole but a fist size hole like a piston took a right turn into the engine case.
thuogh, in a case like that, it almost is "like new" since everything else was mint. [laugh]
