Title: Re: Ebay (and Craigslist) Platitudes Post by: CMDRDAVE on June 12, 2009, 06:33:09 PM A 20 year old bike is not "just like new", I don't care how good the condition is. [popcorn]

Title: Re: Ebay (and Craigslist) Platitudes Post by: Popeye the Sailor on June 12, 2009, 09:18:14 PM what if IZ took it? Wouldn't his photos make the item "Can't see"? Title: Re: Ebay (and Craigslist) Platitudes Post by: corndog67 on June 13, 2009, 10:10:37 PM Just because you have $40,000 "invested" in your Harley, doesn't make it an "investment". If it is such a great investment, why are you asking $10,000 for it?

Title: Re: Ebay (and Craigslist) Platitudes Post by: ducatiz on June 16, 2009, 06:19:47 AM Posting pictures is almost as easy as posting the ad. If you're selling a motorcycle, You should have at least 3-4 full-bike pictures and 4-5 close ups of the engine, brakes, tire, gages, etc

So many sales on the local Cl are marked as Estate Sales - I don't think people know what it means but they think it will sell their items faster. It kinda caught on and they aren't giving it up... I think not... it's funny, i put "-NOT" in all my ebay searches now. i figure even if it is something I want, i don't want to buy it from an asshat. Not Ducati, BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, Kawasaki, Porsche, Nikon, or Rolex I hate the keyword droppers, where they list every possible bike brand at the bottom... I was looking for a Ducati, not your crappy gixxer. Title: Re: Ebay (and Craigslist) Platitudes Post by: He Man on June 16, 2009, 05:53:19 PM There was an ad for a "Like New Yamaha R1" that had a hole in the right side engine case. not like a small hole but a fist size hole like a piston took a right turn into the engine case.
thuogh, in a case like that, it almost is "like new" since everything else was mint. [laugh] |
