Yerself, da woife n kidlin's, and maybe some foldin' chairs

I've got a recipe for a standing roast of beef au jus that I've been meaning to try, and a 10 pound roast in the fridge, aging as I type.
Veggies are still undecided, but I do make a mean steamed cauliflower. Acorn squash can be good too, if it's done right. I dunno, suggestions?
As always, hotdogs for the kids.
Maybe jalapeno baked beans?
We'll see.

Next Sunday, June 21.

Did you realize that is Father's Day?  I'll still be there.  Taking the kids out in the morning and lunch, nap early afternoon to be up in time for the cook out.

Dave,
I've been meaning to talk to you about that. . .

Y'know, it was the '80s. . .

It was a different era. . .

People were into experimenting. . .

You two do have an affinity for bright riding gear.  Coincidence or perhaps the reason is along more genetic lines. . . .not sayin' anything, just sayin'  :o

The cookout was pretty good.
I got the smoker started and had the ribs on by 10:00 this morning.

About 4:00 the ribs were done, and falling off the bone.

I also made beans
These were the hot beans with onions, jalapenos, and of course, extra [bacon]

One of the neighbors came by, I guess the ribs smelled good!

Thekids were enjoying dessert . . .

When, suddenly, an oulaw biker rode up and crashed the party!

Fortunately, we were able to appease him with ice cream, and no fights broke out!

Thanks to everybody for making this a happy Fathers day!
