Not trying to kick off a political topic.

Um... there are motorcycles in some of the pics after all...

It's gonna be hard to have a non-political and non-religious discussion about an election in a state like Iran.   [laugh]  But I'm not surprised by the "outcome" of these elections.
That said, there are a lot of motorcycles in the (excellent) pictures -- I recognized some Hondas, a B-King, and a few others...
Thanks for the link.

				i love the dual sports.
so hard to not make a comment that is political.
thanks for the pics.

How come the "POLICE" on their uniforms is in English? ;D

and whats with the sign in the crowd "wheres my vote"..........in english?

				WOW...just WOW.
Thanks for the pics.
I have an American friend who is married to an Iranian.  She was living in Iran before and during the religious revolution of '79.  Now I know next to nothing about it, but she worked for the Queen at her museum before the revolution.  After the revolution, well, I understand escaping was difficult.  It's fascinating to hear her stories...
I wonder what's next over there?

It's really sad to see anyone have to die over their opinion.
At the same time where did the chick get a pair of Chuck Taylors?

That's assuming they'd actually get off of their butts to go vote in the first place since they don't have the time or it just isn't worth it.  That voting thing is just such a hassle.

Because you're an English speaker?  It probably shows up in French for French speakers.  It's the Internet, dude.   ;D

The CIA trained the Iranian police under the Shah, but I don't know if that's why. I haven't looked at the pics yet.

Random things I came up with:
The girl in the first pic might be cute.
The gates to the Tehran University look interesting.
I still don't understand why people torch/vandalise public property like buses. Idiots did the same thing here in LA yesterday. Not that I condone the damaging of public property to show your frustration or joy but it's so much more stupid to trash a bus because your team won the NBA finals.  [roll] But both reasons are dumb.
The Road Rash-style police/people thinking they're gonna batter people from the back of a bike are interesting. I can understand the initial strike from the bike while moving would be very effective but if the bike ain't moving you're a sitting duck with no leverage.
The guy in #28 has an expensive camera... Much more expensive than I'd carry into the middle of a riot.

I believe that person knew English-speaking people would see the sign and was, therefore, appealing to them/us.
