Title: 749/999 ride hieght adjuster
Post by: caperix on June 18, 2009, 03:36:47 PM
Does anyone have the measurements of a 999/749 ride height adjuster?  Just the bar from jam nut to jam nut, after installing a 1098 shock on the rear of my monster I need a little more hieght.

I don't have the exact measurements at hand, but I put a 999 ride height adjuster on my 620 and added about an inch after I installed a 749 shock.  Sit's high enough now to need an extended kickstand.

Did your monster originaly have the non adjustable link?  Some 620's seam to be set lower from the factory than others.
With it raised an inch was that with 0 threads showing on the adjusters or did you have to thread the ends out to get that raise?
Thanks for the reply.

I just went out and measured the link on my 749s and got 217mm for the shaft itself, not including the jam nuts.  HTH.

Mine came factory with a non-adjustable link.  I just made it about an inch longer than the factory one.  There are some threads showing.  Sorry I'm not of any real help.   :(   Looks like BK's got the answer for ya in his last post.

Thank you both for the info, the stock monster adjustable link is about 200mm so the 999 should work for me.
Thanks again
