I just bought a 2007 S4RS that the original owner had a surflex slipper clutch installed. Took the clutch cover off to see what color the pressure plate is, as I like the look better. To my disappointment the pressure plate is this bland greenish color...
So, can I put an aftermarket colored pressure plate on the slipper clutch? I emailed surflex but have received no response.
Anyone know, or can you point me to someone who might know the answer.
Thanks in advance. [thumbsup]

PM moto on the board.
I'll bet he knows.
Short answer.
No
But Surflex makes that slipper with either the olive green or red pressure plates. You could also have your green one re-anodized any color you want.

ummm...so do I just look up anoziders? how would one go about anodizing and is this costly? sham the Green isn't a nice rich green...
cost isn't too bad,
A few ways to go about it
1) look up anodizers
2) talk to someone that does this (maybe they could add your PP to their next batch...) <-- I'm pretty sure if you talk to Motowheels they could do this for you.
The think about anodizing is it's very difficult to get all the same color to match unless it's from the same batch. So if you want other stuff, then do it at the same time.
thank 2001cromo...hummm...motowheels...i believe I may have something...a few things to anodize. Still not able to ride yet, so might as well take bits off the bike and make it pretty now :)
