Title: Things that make me say dammit.
Post by: yamifixer on June 23, 2009, 09:09:59 AM
I actually said worse but you know.

anyway, left work yesterday and noticed a bunch of dents in the side of my '06 Tacoma. I look around and nothing looks amis so i drive home. there beside the drive is a football size hunk of cement that fits perfectly into the dents. Called to Police to file a report. The officer said this was the 4th report of vandalism in less than a mile and they think they know the Juvi that is responsible.

If they charge him I get to have his parents cover my repairs. I would love to take it outa his back side.

I had a similar thing happen about this time last year. Some little punk threw a rock from across the street and dented the shit outa my door. Missed the window by inches. Chased the make the beast with two backser down, found out where he lived and called the cops. This was at about 1am!

Not in the same category (i.e. no property damage),but,

I've had Alltel as my cell carrier for 9+ years. Verizon now owns all of Alltel's customers. My last bill has an insert "Please pay your bill on time as this will be your last Alltel bill. Starting next month you will receive a new bill form Verizon, with a new account number."
I always pay my bills on time, and so I pay.
Get a call on my cell from Verizon Saturday; "Your bill is past due."
Tried to get an actual person by phone - no joy, so I go to the local Verizon store.
1st visit; After 15 minutes wait, " Bring proof of payment to the store."
2nd visit; After 15 minutes wait, "This printout is not acceptable, we need a copy of the cancelled check."
3rd visit; After 23 minutes wait, "This is a copy, we need the original."
Me; "I can't get the original, my bank doesn't do that."
"Well, sir, I'll take this, but I'm not sure if we'll accept it."

T-mob is great.

only ever had one issue...called...five minutes later it was resolved. And they were polite about it (their mistake) and credited my account for the next month.

"IF"? Why not "when"?

One night at school I called the cops on my neighbor partying at 3AM during dead week (the week before finals). The next day some girl comes by my apartment.

Girl: Do you own a red motorcycle?
Me: Yeah, what about it?
Girl: It fell into my car and scratched up my door.
Me: Aw, make the beast with two backs... The bike doesn't just fall over on it's own, especially not where I put it. Someone must have pushed it over, get your insurance and we'll go down and have a look.

Girl looks worried but says OK. We go down and look and sure enough my bike is on it's side, slightly propped up against her car. Funny part is that the bike is on it's RIGHT side, as in it fell AWAY from the kickstand. I always parked my bike next to my truck, leaning toward my truck, with the bars about 1" from the truck. ALWAYS because I didn't want this kind of shit to happen. "Oh, the wind was strong last night, it must have blown your bike over." No, the truck blocks all the wind to my bike. "Oh, your side stand must not have been all the way down." No, it didn't fall toward to the side stand. make the beast with two backsers. It didn't hit me until after the fact, but the scratches on her car were rusted. She didn't give me a complete address (condo park with no unit number) and the insurance number she gave me was incomplete/ incorrect. I learned my lesson to take the other party's information myself after that. Cost me a pretty penny for the carbon fiber pipes and mirror, and possibly bars, can't remember.

got 3 quotes. around 1900 to fix it. I am a bit pissed and going to have to call my insurance company. If my rates go up due to this I'm going to be sorely disappointed.

remember the direct tv problem i have? They gave me back my money as direct tv credit. then i file a claim back to my CC, they said it takes 30 days. so i said fine. 30 days later, they charged my account and took the $65 bucks out of that $300 something credit i had. and i called them back and they said they cant refund it to my crdit card cause part of it is no longer there.

NO SHIT CAPTAIN OBVIOUS. I dont even watch TV unless theres football or hockey on, and neither are in season. i should just disconnect my shit if i didnt have a contract!
