Title: ceramic coating Post by: Ranger06 on June 23, 2009, 06:20:27 PM Seeing as the paint on my heads is flaking due to the heat, is ceramic coating an option? I have seen plenty of pipes done and they look great. Has anyone seen the process done on the heads themselves?

That might not be what you want on an air-cooled engine.
On the advice of DuckStew, I painted mine with VHT paint, and it worked out nicely: (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3175/2472035161_7d096340f0_o.jpg) Title: Re: ceramic coating Post by: dlearl476 on June 26, 2009, 05:35:38 PM "Thermal Dispersants" do just that.
There are coating that you can apply to the inside of the CC to keep the heat in, then out through the exhaust port, as well. |
