Title: Stickers, you know you like them
Post by: AfroStar on June 24, 2009, 06:26:31 AM
I have a confession, I am a sticker addict.  I love stickers, any chance I get, I ask for them.  I place them where ever I can find a spot for them.  I look for special off stickers, and would get two, one to stick and one to save.  Am I Crazy?
here is my laptop, guess what I did when I took it out the box? Stickers!

Show us your favorite stickers.

I like stickers too!

Though I stick to Metallica and Ohio State Buckeyes ones.

See my sig picture for the one sticker on my seat cowl (Metallica Ninja Star) which is my favorite.  I would like to put an OSU sticker on the bike but it just doesn't work.

Every car I have owned has had a red Metallica logo and Brutus sticker on the back window. [thumbsup]

I get a ton of stickers in my line of work.  I think they may be the only thing holding the paint on my fine Chrysler product.

I bought one yesterday that says "make the beast with two backs You, I'm from Akron." I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but it's pretty awesome nonetheless.

my truck used to look like that lol

only it was your typical college kid hockey or paintball or "I like these bands" kind of stickers.

bad religion and my GF's "clergy" pentacle sticker were... enough to get the big eye from others

my rollaway looks like that laptop, too... but I can't take any pics of it, as it's at work.

made a sticker for my hopper (paintball) that said "if you can read this, I surrender"  ;D

I'm a resource economics consultant.  I do a little energy work now, but no mining.  I grew up in Southern AZ and my Dad worked for ASARCO (American Smelting and Refining CO) his whole life (IT stuff) and I spent 3 years working at their open pit (Pima Mine Unit) just south of Tucson.  Worked in the warehouse and on facilities maintenance and repair.  My dad gave me that sticker years ago. Man was that  a huge hole in the ground.

I had one on my 82 dodge diplomat that said NUKE GAY WHALES FOR JESUS. I had one on my truck that said DON'T PRAY IN MY SCHOOL AND I WON'T THINK IN YOUR CHURCH. Both were pretty obnoxious and got many comments from other vehicles. Now I tend to not intentionally distract easily distracted drivers.

Maybe I'm the only one. I don't like stickers.

My wife and son have scuba stickers on their snowboards and snowboard stickers on their dive stuff, though. You can't see my son's phone through the stickers on it.

When I was a kid I collected stickers but I never stuck them on anything.  I'm still reluctant to do so, not sure why.

Got no stickers on my monster and won't do it.

But the bicycle and car are fair game.  Besides, I am trying to cover it up so that the carbon doesn't show or bicycle brand.  Make it less desirable to steal.

I covered the laptop apple logo with Ducati sticker   :P

(sorry pic quality.  i have no camera so I am using laptops Photo booth app on os x )

Monsterparts sticker on my bicycle and some ducati sticker

car -- some sticker from "the onion"  -- banned from public transportation   and   the onion - America's finest news
and "check twice-motorcycle's are everywhere" , "don't blame me.  I voted for Kerry.  I think ! "

I love stickers.
I like to collect stickers too. I had some old skool rainbow Appleâ,,¢ stickers. And one year when OK soda was out, they had a sheet of stamp-like stickers in a newspaper advert that I kept for a long time. I might still have those too.

No stickers on the monster, but I have a bunch of stickers on bicycles, helmets, suitcase, coolers, laptop, and I used to have them all over my cell phone.

But I don't have access to the most recent stickers. I'll put them up tonight.

Not a big stickers fan.
I have one on my truck :
"Yes, this is my truck,
No, I won't help you move."

Had one on my Fiat: "Bad cop, No Donut!"

Ordered tank decals from a place called Big City Images.com over a week ago, they haven't arrived, and they don't seem to return emails. Anybody dealt with them? They're somewhere in Georgia.

I had to look up what or who "Beenie Wells" is at wiki.  You can surmise that I don't really care for football or follow it.  I should have checked before I posted.
Anyhow, I'm the real football fan a.k.a soccer fan since I can remember when.  As for Akron, Swenson drive-in still the best   ;)

The galley boy or salad boy are just about the best sandwiches on the planet. I think it was in Scientific Proof magazine. ;)

I just erected some new shelves in my garage, so I've got a place to slap some stickers. I need a new toolbox, so tomorrow is a trip to sears hardware to get another sticker surface.

My old guitar cases and racks have some pretty cool ones. My acoustic guitar's case has a lot of  left wing political campaign stickers (Nader, Kucinich, etc) and beer stickers.

I like stickers too -- too much actually. A couple of years ago when a Cadillac plowed into my car at a red light and I watched in the rear view mirror as the back window exploded, I swear my first thought was "Oh crap, I just put a brand-new $3 kayak decal on there!!!"

Only stickers on the Ducatis though are some very nice ones from my old bicycle racing team, Squadra Coppi (http://www.squadracoppi.com/ (http://www.squadracoppi.com/)) that include the message in Italian "Vincere Insieme" which means Win Together (that or "Ensure the Insemination," I always forget which). You can see it to the right in this photo from a recent valve adjust on the Monster:

Named in honor of Fausto Coppi, the team had a strong Italian style to it, and I've actually had a couple of folks ask if the sticker was from an Italian motorcycle dealership.  [laugh]

but stickers in the right place is cool for me.

I'm anti stickering any vehicle and I don't apply stickers to something I might not have in a few years. i still wish I had that sweet zorlac sticker that came with my roskopp deck -- but I stuck it to a folder or something else stupid.  I do have a huge reverand horton heat sticker on the back of my office chair but that's only because I had two.  now I'm down to one :'(

I can't bring myself to put a sticker on a vehicle of any kind. Ever.

But, the shop fridge and shelving are fair game.
