Title: I have a dilemma..well not really.
Post by: Super T.I.B on May 19, 2008, 11:39:29 PM
Shane from Fraser's in the 'gong rings me up saying that my Arrows will be there on the 29th of this month. Me thinking that I wouldn't be getting them for at least another few weeks was going to grab my bike on Friday and toot around on it till they get my pipes in.

And yeah, we have the 31st ride plus I need my bike back to get me to work. I have a company vehicle till next Wednesday, and don't I flog the arse out of that!

I guess my prob is that if I keep the bike there, I will get the pipes put on without me having to go down there twice. But I want my bike back and another BIG BUT, I have a broken toe and not even sure if I can even ride it yet!

I guess my thinking now is to get the bike on Friday and when my Arrows come in, organise a day later for them to install them.

Why does this shit always happen!

FAAAAAAARRRRRRKKKKKKKK, where are ya Trev? :'(

Hey Super

Fit 'em yerself!!!!! [thumbsup] 40 minutes no dramas. Betcha they'jj charge a dam side more 1 hours labour??? :(

Got my high rise Arrows from Chris at CC Cycleworks about 3 weeks ago and the only problem was the paperwork was in Italian. But pretty straightforward to fit and such a luverly noise. ;D Got the system landed at my door for $960 Oz dollars.

That's not the only thing I am really, really considering doing.

I can hear CHOP, CHOP floating around my cerebral cortex. That would be my brain. [evil]

Could be a project for the Dockstrada maintenance day. ;D

Yeah, I know! I'm getting more confident with it everyday, it's not as sore as it was. Put my boot on yesterday and it was a little painful, but those boots are always snug in the toe region. I wear steel caps every day and it's not as bad as it was a week and a half ago.

I think I should be fine. [thumbsup]

Mate, that's a great offer - do you travel  ? - I'll have the Termis in a few week and Melbourne is great this time of year, I'll shout you coffee afterwards and you can show me how it's done, there's a magnificent girl there called Rebecca who doesn't even know I'm alive, so I'd appreciate a tip of two in coffee-girl seduction, step 1: leave them wanting more.

 [thumbsup]

You guys don't secretly run the Ducati Riders Assist program do you?
Who needs dealer support....

TIB, I can understand the timing dilemna. I got my pipes the day after my first ride. I was on the fedex site every hour trying to see where the deivery was at in the days leading up.  I so wanted them on for the maiden voyage, but it was never to be.
The stockers only stayed on for 70km.

ps, ...my tips on chicks for blokes who've harn'd the fark up!

Chicks like guys in dirty overalls
Overalls can never be dirty enough
Yes,... even at Coles when shopping...
Yes,... beer & wine are food groups, even at Coles
Chicks like it if you either dark & misterious (like most bikers), or rich
Pretend rich is being a tight arse... yes even at coles
Chicks like it when you ask them about their hair (even when they haven't done anything to it), about their shoes (even when their just black), about their ear-rings (when their pretty darn boring)
Chicks like it when they ask you about the bike and you give a 3 word answer... yes it is, yes you can  ;D
Chicks like it when you make the first move... subtle, but definite
The best first move is "hello" say it like you mean it! Don't say much else at all. Say it right the first time...

Mate, I learnt from you and trimmed the tail down straight away, I haven't shown Rebecca my rear end though - consider it done! in greasy overalls too.
