Holy fractions.

And dammit Nicky...   Gresini squad will again next year have 1 factory-spec RC212.  Maybe he should start lobbying.  Or talk to ten Kate.

Well, it's progress.  He's only 1 second back now.

Didn't Gresini just sign Simoncelli? I was hoping the testing plus a track that Nicky goes well at would make something happen. Ah well, we'll see how the rest of the weekend goes!

Stoner was not happy at the end of qualifying. I split before the feed shut off, so I don't know if someone got in his way on his last hot lap or if he was just mad at himself.
I can't wait to see the race tomorrow!

he was mad at somebody else, but i didn't see who. he was gesticulating to somebody in a neighboring garage.

Am I the only one who thinks moto gp should do a different qualifying, instead of the have at it for an hour system. Either of the WSBK ones seem way better than this mess...
Heh who cares, I'm debating getting up at 5 and watching the race I'm so excited :)

I hope Pedro keeps fitness throughout the race.  It would be badass if we can have 4-5 bikes fighting up front tomorrow.  Definately catching the live feed at motogp.com for this one.  The forecast sucks for tomorrow.  High percent chance of light showers throughout the day.  Hopefully we can see some dry track.  I can't stand the bike changes.  It makes things interesting, but nose to tail racing for 45min keeps my interest a bit more.   [thumbsup]

If he's still struggling from exhaustion, wait until he hits the heat at Laguna next week.  The weather wasn't even bad this weekend and no rest for the weary.  Tell his wife to quit wearing him out on the weekends.

That's a good one Jester!! [laugh] I wish that was the excuse I had for being so tired... I mean the part about Stoner's wife wearing ME out. [cheeky] :-*

Yep, going to be a good four hours of racing tomorrow on SpeedTV. Can't wait to see Hayden actually fighting with folks mid pack. Heard he ran off the track while leading that group and fought his way back a place or two. Got to be good for his spirits and confidence. [thumbsup]

If they haven't done so already, they need to do complete blood labs on Stoner and get to the bottom of this "exhaustion."  I am hoping for as good a race at Laguna as last year!!!  Hopefully a 3 way battle this year though.  I guess that would qualify as a manage-a-tois.

If is not Adriana then who?...  :o IMO, she's too much for him...  :D
Yeap, wait for the heat, the Corkscrew...the memory of the fall on the front straigth...  [bang]
Tell Mr. Guareschi that Adriana should be kept away from Casey from Thursday untill after the race...just saying [roll]

Yeah, the second I saw his tire tuck I was thinking "oh no, here we go."  I'm glad he hopped up after that one.  I enjoy having more riders to fight up front.

i hate to say it but that motogp race was boring after the first 5 laps.. nothing... at all worth watching except how they showed at times how smooth rossi is when they put the cam on him

that 250 race the crash in the 2nd to last lap that was insane.  but the guy has nobody to blame but himself for that crash luckily he didnt' take out the rider in front of him, ie nicky hadyen/pedrosa move.

[moto]  Nicky showing improvement and is racing again!  Seems a little gun-shy after all those earlier fun experiences on the "other" bike.

Paraphrasing a jet-lagged Colin Edwards replying to Dave Despain's question, as to why Rossi is so good...."...I don't know, I get behind him and go where he goes, but no matter how fast I am he always pulls away....."

Paraphrasing a MotoGP TV announcer (broadcast on SpeedTV) reflecting after the race on Rossi's 100 wins and the start of Rossi's MotoGP career..."The first races I covered in the 1990s, I wondered who the girl was that all the other reporters were talking to."  [laugh]

Despain softly speculating that Spies will replace Toseland next year to form "Team Texas" in MotoGP...Colin thinks Spies is happy in WSBK and will stay put for the time being, alluding to Spies's awareness of a higher level of competition in MotoGP vs WSBK.

[bacon]  Question for the pro riders here: Seems that a lot of bikes were doing baby wheelies through the chicane.  Was that to keep the front tires off the road and reduce wear or just from zealous use of the throttle?

i'm no pro, but... you never want the front off the ground, if you can help it.  certainly not a wear issue.  it just happens.
