Tech spec on Ducati.com says 120/60 for the '07 S2R 800
120/70 '06 S2R 800
120/70 S2R 1000
My dealer put on a 120/70 last time.
120/60 ?? Is it a typo?
Mines always been a 120/70
Pretty sure I have used all 120/70's. Maybe a typo. Bike has always felt fine. If 120/70 is wrong, I don't want to be right!
You're better off with 70 series front tire if you've got potholes other severe road issues.

I definitely agree that a 70 series will help prevent wheel damage - but I really liked my front end feel with the 120/60 [evil]
owner's manual states 120/70-ZR-17

Who reads those - owners manuals are for sissy's [cheeky] ;)
Adding to the confusion......
My registration documents says 120/60
- as well as 180/60 rear (instead of the stock/usual 180/55)

never heard of a 180/60
On my first front tire change my dealer also went with a 70 profile tire. It's a little taller so it also offsets your speedo. But it seems common practise as far as I can tell so I don't think it's a biggie.
Note: I have a 620 dark...
120/70/17 up front, 180/55/17 out back.
That's what was on my bike straight from dealer, that's why I just put on.
I read 120/60/17 for the front online somewhere as well, but i checked my bike. 120/70. Better road protection.
