I'm going to take my sister for a ride on Saturday. We're going to go out to Lee Harvey's for a couple of drinks. I'll have (I DO have) plenty of EXTRA cigars! (La Aurora Preferido #3; Camaroon wrappers). Help me smoke them!
It will be early afternoon.
It will probably be my last chance to see some DFW Ducatisti before I head out to work again.
Please come.
Please post here if you will be there.
Thanks!
Norris

i'll plan on being there at like 2ish?...but i'll have to pick up some really good stuff before i come: Capones! that way at least Cory won't have to chomp the end off it and look like, well, a dweeb.
Sounds like fun. I'm there [drink]

Great. That's at least four of us. I'll be there 2ish as well.
I'll make it out there. I'll need a break from prepping the bike for next week.
Oh yeah, please ride in if you can. I'm trying to get my sister interested in riding her own bike. [thumbsup]
Hmmm, need help with that cigar surplus "problem" of yours...I think I may be able to help. ;D [drink] ;D
Dude, seriously, La Aurora Preferido, I'm sooo there. [thumbsup]
So, where is this place, exactly? I would be a "two-ish" as well.

It's south of I30 between Ervay and Akard Sts.
Aha, google search yields the exact address

I've got a box of 25 the other day, and only smoked one so far. Let's put a dent in it so to speak. (we need a cigar smoking smiley)
I don't know where it is, but I see someone posted info on that.
In all the way if I can find it.

Man, what can I say. The website says the bar doesn't open till 4 and food is not served until 5.
Who's still in for 4ish?
[bang]
Count me as a definite! I'll be sure CDC makes it there. ;)

I've got a race in Mesquite that'll be over by 4:30 so although late, I will be there looking for sudsy refreshment. [drink] My lungs are already rebelling at the idea of a cigar after a race though. I'm guessing that 45 minutes of gasping for oxygen while my heart rate bounces off it's rev limiter will not leave me craving smoking implements. :-X

Thanks George! I've always thought it would be a good racing tactic to ride up next to my competitor with an unlit cigar in my mouth and ask them for a light. The complete absurdity of the situation should be enough of a distraction to give me at least a 5 second jump. [laugh]

I'm still down for this, but my day just got 1 item on the to-do list. Not so sure what time I'll be there.

Haha, its not like I won't be there. I just don't know what exact time.
I have to finish my wheel chock set up, pick up the trailer, prep my bike, prep the truck, help rich with some bike prep, and then run down to my parents' to store a vehicle. So I guess I'll have wake up a bit earlier than normal.

Even better than a Silca pump through the spokes. [thumbsup] I was taught a cruel (read: fun) trick yrears ago racing in Milwaukee. They must repave their streets with asphalt every three months because the street manhole covers would be recessed about 5 inches below the current street level because of so many pave jobs. So if you had a wheel sucker you couldn't drop you would head full speed for one of the recessed manhole covers and bunny hop it at max speed. The next thing you'd hear would be Mr. Wheel Sucker smack the living shit out of the hole... volia, two blown out sew-ups and two nicely squared rims. [evil] OK, I never told you any of this, right? A nice person wouldn't do something like that? Right.... ?

HAHA!! man that's awesomely cruel. personally I like tricking the new cat 5's into pulling into the wind and watching them blow up. "c'mon dude, are you gonna pull or what. do your share!" ;D [laugh] As they're cross-eyed and blown from the effort, it's always a nice gesture to sit up and whistle a little tune like it's a walk in the park for you. Well, if you don't want to smoke it, give it to CDC.
Hey, thanks to everyone for coming out to Lee Harvey's. It meant a great deal to me. And thanks for being so hospitable toward my sister Elizabeth. She had a great time, as did I.
I'm very lucky to have stumbled on to the forum and to have met you guys and gals.
Sorry I missed this one, looked like fun. I have heard good things about Lee Harvey's, they supposedly have a really good hamburger. Anyone test that rumor on Saturday or was it just beer and cigars?
Good burgers for sure
And actually, though I don't think anyone got one, their grilled cheese is awesome. Gotta love Lee Harvey's

Was bummed to miss this, but given that I'm bailing on the family next weekend, I felt a long weekend at the lake was the least I could do.
Nordog, nice pics of the cute girl, and very diplomatic of you to include Will in a few of them. As far as I'm concerned, if she wants to bring Will to more of our events, I'm ok with that.
