Title: Clock on your bike???
Post by: sbui on June 29, 2009, 03:09:58 PM
Every once in a while, I'm always curious to know what time it is when I'm riding.  Since I wear a my jacket and the wrist is always covered up, I don't know what time it is.  So I made a solution.

The watch was a gag gift for Father's day a couple of years ago..

How many of you guys out there sometimes wonder what time it is when your riding???

I always wonder what time it is. No clock either.  ;)
My KTM has clock functionality in the computer, so I don't have to worry about it then.

I've thought about some stick on clock or an old watch too. But for now I'll make due until I find something I like.

my old bike (03' 620) had a digital clock on it so when i got the 'new' one (00' 900) i was lacking a clock

i ended up finding a deal on ArtsCow.com (i think) and i had them print up a pocket watch with the ducati logo and i velcroed it to the same place you did

couple thousand miles on it and still going strong  [thumbsup]

What I like about this watch, is you can also figure out math problems, WHILE knowing the time.

I had one of those watches. It wasn't a gag back then.

Yea, my scoot came with one and I count on it -  literally.

Got spoiled long ago with my R90S in 1974 that came with a VDO Clock. Gentleman's express.

That's kinda how the S4RS feels - a gentleman's express. [moto]  Comes with a clock. [thumbsup]

My 05 620 has one in the instrument cluster. Occasionally it's even accurate.

I just bought a cheap Timex Indiglo®, filed the watch band tabs off, dabbed a spot of silicone on the back and stuck it on the clutch master cylinder cap. I tried to get a watch face that matched the Veglia Speedo/Tach faces. you would be surprised how many people think the clock is OEM.

The Internet has shown me there is a website for everything.

I had originally seen a nice looking on at twistedthrottle.com, but they don't appear to be selling them any longer.

I have just recently installed a Clock radio on my bike,  it took me seconds to develop a Mounting system to ensure correct time readout, Decent Radio Reception and little to no risk of Damage to the Machine or Rider...

What do you think?

The cost of the Electrical Extension leads is killing me though  :'(

If you glued you cell phone right there on the top clamp, you could text while you ride.

I'm working on hooking this to my cell phone to text. Plus it has knuckle guards.

I got a clock from Aerostich. It fits on my left clip-on (7/8") and it has a white face, matches my speedo and tach.

They last a couple of years.
