Having my annual 4th of July party. We live right by where they detonate the fireworks, so we have prime viewing.

Beerpong, cornhole (let the insults fly), and good food  [thumbsup]

If anyone is in the area and wants to come, shoot me a PM

BBQ, Drinks, watching the neighbors catch their back yard on fire, setting off tennis ball bombs,
probably getting hammered while all of the above happens.

Cornhole is a game that was invented in Ohio where players throw bean bags into boards with a hole in them.  Hole=3 pts On board=1 pt.  Each team has a player at each board and points are netted each round.  First team to 21 wins.
Its a very fun game [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Cyrus, If I stay in C-bus, i'll probably stop by.

Plus, our house overlooks Pearl Harbor, so should have a good view of the firework display from here.

sailing to a secret anchorage somewhere on the Chesapeake Bay where we can see seven different fireworks displays and the eagles wake us up in the morning with the babies screeching while mommy eagle fishes.

at some point in the weekend we will sail past the buoy near Fort McHenry that approximates where Fancis Scott Key was on the British Ship when he wrote the Star Spangled Banner.

Pretty good weekend for us every year.

we get a lot of spectator traffic nearby when we fly the spinnaker...lots of thumbs up:

Fly or drive?

Hour flight to SFO, then an hour and a half or so south to monterey

The drive would suck.

Being at the laguna MOTOgp sucks on anything not a bike-you need to be able to lane split.

Google maps is your friend.

There are no less than 3 stores that rent bikes in the SF area, which ain't far from Santa Clara. Check out the MOB section local resources-we have 'em listed. They'll rent about any bike you could want.

Into the first 50 minutes of an 18 (+/-) hour road trip from CO to Mich w Randimus & Brian (the pup). Actually they're both pups.  ;)  Typing posts very tedious on iPhone so should help to pass time.

Dropping R of at a music fest (only 2 people died there last yr). I'll see most of my family & hope to get a bicycle ride in at some point within the 2 full days of not traveling. Hopefully go boating on lake mich too!  Really miss that!

Ok so this took 10 minutes to type. Will post on every other thread now.   ;D
