Title: Shock Post by: sleeperbold on June 30, 2009, 07:11:58 PM I just installed a pair of Shock turn signals I got on MonsterParts.com on my s2r-800. They work fine and I wired them properly, however, weird thing is that when I switch on the turn signal (may it be the right or the left) the other one also flashes, albeit very dimly in comparison. I returned them already :-\ And anyway, even if I had the resistors, isn't the thumb switch a "switch" mechanism as in it should route power one way or the other?

Title: Re: Shock Post by: He Man on June 30, 2009, 09:01:00 PM darn...i'm an idiot....is should have just installed them while i had everything taken apart.... ugh [bang] Thanks everything apart? if its just the front then all you should of needed to take apart was the 2 bolts holding the headlight, if its the rear, its just the seat. anymore then that, then you must be doing things the hard way. regardless, the resistors are a cake job. im not sure what resistance you need, but once you find out, you can just buy one and solder it in. Usually resistors do their job by making heat, in these cases i doubt its much heat at all though. So id just tape it up. Alternatively, if you are good at soldering, you can always open up the blinker module and solder one in behind the circuitry. or take the easy way and just buy one and plug it in. Title: Re: Shock Post by: sleeperbold on July 01, 2009, 03:13:51 AM Yeah, installing the resistors was cake because the original blinkers and the Shock ones along with the resistors all had those quick connect ends. They're just a bit tricky to get to without taking off the front faring, which in turn requires me to loosen the two bolts holding on the gauges. alas... i guess i'll call Jeff at monsterparts.com and hve him put "return to sender" on the package i sent him ;D
Title: Re: Shock Post by: filter on July 02, 2009, 10:23:04 AM Try removing your turn signal indicator light bulb in your dash. On my '01 750, that fixed the problem.
