I've got a new Hagon shock I'm ready to mount up. Bike is a '00 M750. I've gone thru the Haynes Manual and checked out Ducati Suite, they have slightly differing opinions, one says remove the gas tank. I've taken the side covers off, taken pictures and tried to walk myself thru the process, but was wondering 1.) if anyone ran across anything really hinky about the operation, 2.) how much time to allow to complete it. My plan is to suspend the bike will a rod thru swingarm, on jackstands. Disconnect & remove the crankcase breather tank, remove right side rear set, unbolt bottom mount and then top mount and wiggle that sachs outta there. reverse order with the new Hagon...sound feasible?
It's a nice looking unit and a great price, if what I've read hold true.

If you have a ladder and a jack. id suggest you look up my vid for SSS swing arm removal. the idea is exactly the same.
Which is to say, the idea is simply to get to the top bolt and to the bottom bolt. You will need to take of the crank case breather tube, that will get u access to the top bolt. Then on the bottom bolt, there is a hole in the swingarm. you will need to remove the brakes to get to it. then it should be pretty staright foward.
For the SSS, time to swap shocks is appx 20 minutes so it might just be slightly more for a carbed DSS.
Thanks H-Man, I'll take a look.
