two oldest things on there is the ax and the 50cal. now it needs some rims!!!
is the M-ATV really about 28,000 pounds unloaded?
There was discussion of this truck a while back on the CDC when I posted about the Hummer brand being bought by a Chinese company. Got into an argument that how could Hummer, a military vehicle be owned by a foreign government. Long story short, apparently people think GM builds the actual Humvee, not AM General.
Anyway....
I think this truck is already in use......someone posted a picture of one in Iraq.
Both of those things are pretty sick [thumbsup]

We got 4 of these about 3 weeks before I left Afghanistan. about 34k lbs. But ours had turrets with .50 cal machine guns and grenade launchers and other cool bang bang stuff ;D
What's hilarious is there have been 2' x 3' foot adds for these things on the DC metro for about 6 months now. Like someone riding the metro is going to run out and buy one.......(yes I know that they are not aimed at consumers). Funny how we are now advertising to the gov't workers that OK contracts for this stuff.
^
That's hilarious
So my question is when it going to be available for retail. After seeing that who wants the H1 Hummer

I don't understand why anyone wants either one for personal use. Sure, it's cool and big but it's big. Nobody can afford the gas for either one right now and I've noticed that a lot of the people that buy those things don't know or don't care to maneuver them properly around town and are always cutting corners by extreme amounts, riding or crossing the white line, and taking up 3 parking spaces.
I still think the EM-50 is the Army's best assault vehicle ever:

Gotta love Stripes!
"Now, are either of you homosexuals?"
"You mean like flaming?"
"Well, it's a standard question we have to ask."
"No, we're not homosexual, but we are willing to learn."
"Yeah . . . Would they send us someplace special?"
"I wish I was a loofah."
"Folks, don't order the schnitzel.
They're using schnauzer."
Are those the trucks with the V shaped hull to deflect mine blast?

The international Max Pro that I posted the pic of on Page 1 is capable of taking a blast from a 155mm round, implanted in typical IED fashion, or so I'm told. No personal experience with roadside bombs, Only 2 Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices. One was 4000 lbs and hit the small compound I was living in, and the second was a 1000 lb VBIED that destroyed our lead truck (HMMWV M1151), killing 2 soldiers and wounding the third.
They will take a hit. Unless it's one like this.

The navi is very well built and will take some serious punishment, our '95 civillian version ate a 1-ton dodge at 70mph head-on and lived
but
the damn IH software still wont talk to the allison software correctly
and
anything connected via PTO will shut the motor down and lock up the computer
[bang]
I hope those new Begoshes keep y'all in one piece
