FYI those who dream of a Termignoni future

I've just been informed that Termignoni is in receivership in Italy.
For those who are unfamiliar with that term see --->GM.
I doubt Obama is going to step in to save our beloved (but damn pricey) aftermarket exhaust provider
No doubt someone will most likely buy the brand and it's assets (Ducati??)
Just thought you would all like to know.
Now who is going to call around and see if we can get a deal on a group buy...there has to be an importer interested in helping Termi dump a few boxes....anyone?

I am going to cry if they go  :'(

receivership is a very common phase for most italian companies to go through ... just look at bimota.

termi has such a rich history as a brand, i don't see them going away ... most likely, some rich individual or investment group will swoop in and get the brand/company at a bargain price, restructure the management team, and keep/get termi back on its feet.

This is a bummer ... hopefully someone will pick them up.

Maybe I'm crazy but I like the way the Zards for the 1*98/848 look, they follow the shape of the tail nicely.

zard was formed by a few ex termi employees ... some of their systems are very cool (sportclassics, the streetfighter), some are not so cool ... but the quality of the construction and materials are very very high, no matter what the design looks like.  and, if you look at some of the termi product being marketing now, he quality of the welds and general construction seems to be not as good as it once was.

for my money, akrapovic makes the best systems around now ... only wish they offered a system for the hypertard.

I don't really completely like it. Its ok..I think it's mostly the logo, & the endcaps need to be toned down a bit. But it's not too bad either.

+1 akrapovic looks like some very very nice equipment. However, you thought Termis were expenxsive!

si ... but you get what you pay for with the akrapovics ... top quality materials, engineering and build quality.

The Zard name sounds like it belongs on motards.

I think you hit the nail on the head. it might look pretty good on the motard as well.
