Title: Weird news of the day

Naked pilot, flight attendant arrested in woods

HARRISBURG, Pa. - An airline pilot was found hiding behind a shed wearing only flip-flops and a wristwatch as a nighttime romp in the woods with a flight attendant ended with both under arrest, police said.

Jeffrey Paul Bradford, 24, and Adrianna Grace Connor, 24, both employees of Pinnacle Airlines Inc., were at a diner on the outskirts of Harrisburg on Sunday night before they apparently decided to walk into the woods, police said.

"They told the officer they wanted to go do it in the woods, essentially," said Lower Swatara Township police Sgt. Richard Brandt. "That's the best answer they had."

The two somehow became separated, and people who live in the neighborhood summoned police around 9:30 p.m., saying they had seen a naked man and an intoxicated woman.

A helicopter with heat-seeking equipment was called in, and Bradford was discovered hiding behind a shed shortly before midnight.

Bradford, of Pittsburgh, was charged with indecent exposure, public drunkenness and other offenses. Connor, of Belleville, Mich., was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, public drunkenness and other offenses; police said she took a flashlight from a neighbor's vehicle.

A spokesman for the Memphis, Tenn., airline said the two were suspended while the company investigates.

The office of District Justice Michael John Smith, where Bradford and Connor were arraigned, said they were not represented by lawyers. Telephone listings for them could not be located by The Associated Press.

Haha, i know someone who flies for that airline.  I can say this is not weird news at all, and hardly unexpected behavior.  Flight attendants are known to be scandalous.

are you a pilot?

A son once asked his father, "Dad, whats a pilot?"

His father replied... "Son, someday you're going to meet a beautiful girl.  Fall in love, and get married.  Then one day, that girl is going to leave you for another man.  We call those men, pilots"

Pinnacle does business as a northwest airlink and a delta connections carrier. There are a lot of small airlines like that that operate in the midwest. They usually fly between small regional airports and major hubs as part of a federally subsidized air transportation thingy... can't remember exactly what it's called.

I'm sure you've got many more segments than me...many of mine were to Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne, Shanghai, London, Munich, etc.  Although this year seems like mostly East Coast trips.

<continuing threadjack>
So a couple of trips ago, I was sitting in the Economy Plus exit row (this was a seat where I had nobody in front of me - so several feet worth of legroom), and a guy walking to the back of the plane says, "Excuse me miss, but I'm 6'6"...would you mind trading seats?  I'm going to be so miserable for this long flight."  (Never mind that 6 hours isn't a long flight to me.)

I told him I would trade if his seat was Economy Plus.  It wasn't so I stayed put.  Felt a bit bad about it.  Although I later discovered that for that particular flight United charged $60 for non-elite members to upgrade to Economy Plus.

Good job!  I hate it when people try to take a handout by feeding off of other peoples guilt.  Although I will gladly give up my seat in particular instances (such as i've got a window seat and some mom and her kid want to trade me for an isle seat)
