You have to buy a Resistor to make this work. $47 + $160 for the tail light. Do most LED integrated tail lights come with resistors or not? Note: This kit does NOT include resistors. Resistors are designed to add more current, therefore will get as hot as a bulb. If you wish to slow your blink rate, you must replace your flasher relay. The Acumen Electronics Flasher Relay is the perfect solution! Check out the Acumen Flasher Relay in our store for details. Title: Re: Integrated tail light for 696 Post by: BaZgA on July 10, 2009, 09:22:21 PM Price is in AUD not USD so the real price is 125 USD
You have to buy resistor but even if you buy all that the price is still OK (when you see how much are clear alternatives ones - the price is the same) Problem is that there are no other ones on the market yet and this one looks really good http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bike+monkey+taillight&search_type=&aq=f (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bike+monkey+taillight&search_type=&aq=f) Here you can see some videos for other bikes. If I manage to buy it (have some expenses right now >:( ) I will post video and pictures. Quote Installation instructions not included - professional installation recommended. I like the look. I like the piece. I don't like this. Having taken the stock one off to replace the tail tidy and stock signals (with rizoma zero 11)... it's not really a big deal, unhook a couple wires, unscrew old unit, screw in new unit, connect wires... If connections don't match (the rizoma's didn't), replace connectors with matching connectors. Title: Re: Integrated tail light for 696 Post by: BaZgA on August 01, 2009, 11:35:34 PM I have another idea about whole integrated light thing.
I will buy some Flexible LED lights and glue them somewhere (probably on CW Fender Eliminator) and than replace the position of plate. First I have to find a suitable Flexible LED lights (Radiantz is only one I have found yet) |
