I did this last year and it was great fun, they did a great job organizing it, and Zoom Zoom runs their Novice group like a school, so you get class time and one-on-one instruction as well. [thumbsup]

Maria's really interested in doing this one, but she's got the whole "I'm gonna be the slowest one out there" notion going.  [bang]

She's got the track bug bad, but she's hesitant to go out. I keep telling her that if she's aggressive enough to stay on my wheel, then she won't have any problem at the track. [moto] I guess it would just help having the female reinforcement aspect of it, ya know?

Are you going to be at ZG on the 29th? Maybe you could give her some first hand info on Z2's school. [thumbsup]

Tell Maria that I already own the award for the slowest one out there at the race track so since that title is already taken - she can just focus on having fun!  ;D
 

If someone wants to pick up the tab for my day out there, I'll take out the 400.  There's a picture of me on it next to the Merriam Webster definition of the word "slow."  Just be smooth and predictable--you'll already be better than half the people out there! [laugh] 

I've ridden with Maria and she's not slow. 8)  ...actually Z2's Novice School might even bore her.

Unfortunately I don't think I can make it (yet again [bang]) as I have extra rehearsals for my upcoming concert.  But I will PM you my contact info in case she wants to ask me any questions.

She's got the speeding ticket to back that up too!! [bang]

So she's decided to go for it. We're going up there the night before and getting a room. I'll be borrowing a trailer, so I will have room for a second bike.

Anyone interested in coming up with us? We'll have enough room in the truck for everyone's gear, and passengers.

Let me know, and I'll coordinate with you and set up the details. [thumbsup]

Zoom Zoom by Yamaha?  I thought it's mazda, so confused.  I'm sure mazda is handa right.

I'll keep that in mind. [thumbsup] I was thinking that a trailer would be good, then we'd have the option for a passenger...  I might even drag the 916 up and try to get in a session...maybe.

duckwrench13, my g/f may be interested in your trailer offer. I'll be ultra shown-up by her because she'll have her first track day before me!  :o [laugh]

I just sent her the info on the track day so I'll see what she says and let you know. If someone else will definitely use that trailer space, go ahead and give it to them. Thanks a ton for sending the offer out to us.

Hey duckwrench, my girlfriend decided to sit this round out for a bunch of different reasons. We think it's just too soon (experience, money, gear) to go this time around. Thanks again for the offer. We're bound to hit the track sometime this season and think we're still going to try on suits this weekend.  8)

Can't go -- out of the country on biz trip :'(

Maria and I are heading up on Thursday. Don't have the specific time set yet, probably mid afternoon (?). We've decided to camp at the track. We figured why not?

We still have plenty of space for gear, and a passenger or two, if someone needs a lift.

You guys are gonna have a blast...  [thumbsup]  Enzo and I usually come draggin' in real late and have to set up in the dark, so if you can get there during the daylight and find a nice spot, you're golden.  I like to set up near the showers/bathroom when we're there.  It's pretty domestic, even for me, and I hate camping.  (Worked three years on a fire crew and slept outside most of the time during summer.  I'm done with that crap.  I loves me my Serta...)

I'm so jealous!  I don't get back out there until this Fall, but hopefully next year I won't have a wedding eating up my extra cash and time.   [beer]  Post up picts! 

Keep in mind that they let ladies set up under the metal canopy for these track days. Take advantage of that if there's space: it'll make your day that much more enjoyable.

Do yourself a favor and prepare now if you can...really hydrate, vitamins, rock those super salty fries, and sit in the car in the full sun with the windows up to help aclimate...i dunno...just get ready to bake!

High temp for me last year was 156.8 F, 18% humidity. Not too worried for 90-100 F up there. ;D

No reports on Ladies day?!?!  I didn't see/meet anyone either...

Ummmm...pictures are up though.  Good times.

I saw pictures on BARF... but didn't see any DMF'ers on there.

I saw one orange and black S2(?) in the women's group. Maria was on an all black CBR600RR, and my trusty 916, #84, was quietly sitting on its paddock stand all day...never saw the track.

There's a picture of Maria and I taking her bike through tech on the 4TR site, but no riding shots.

Is this Maria with the S2R in tow?
I'm not a stalker, just naturally creepy.

B group sure had a rough weekend.  I though I was going to nut up when first session on Saturday was black flagged.   Grrrrrrrr!.....
