Title: Rear wheel nut S2R 1000
Post by: Dave on July 11, 2009, 05:16:44 PM
Hey guys , iv'e just purchased the bike yesterday (06 model) and i was going over it and found the Lhs (sprocket side)rear wheel nut was only finger tight, the clip was in , so no problems there, but thought it would have to be nipped up (torque setting?) at least?
As far as i know the rear wheel has never been off , its only got 3000km on it and still on the original tyres.

Cheers , Dave.

from what i know, its pretty common. dont use lock tite, itll be too PITA to get off next time around, just 115ft-lbs and check it ever so often. i remove my rear wheel pretty often to scrape the crud of the back of the swingarm.
