This morning I was all set for this long group ride and met up at the designated place.  During the prep before the ride, I found out my back tire was leaking air like crazy.  Pressure was at 25psi  [bang]  The valve stem was the issue.  Thankfully, the ride meet location was only about 1 light away from Moto-Ohio Columbus.  I only had 30 minutes before the ride was to begin.  So I dashed to the dealer and the service guy helped me out and took care of the valve stem and gave me a cap and filled air to 40psi.  I don't go to the dealer for my repairs since about 2 years ago but I appreciate the help I got today.  I made it to the bike ride with minutes to spare.  Too bad I missed the Dealers Ducati Demo ride they had today, but the ride was well worth it.

We rode a total of about 300 miles and we were 8 people deep (only 1 duc).  Began at 10:15am.  The funny part was there were lots more bike (cruisers) and so we all thought that we were in the same group ride.  It was kind of strange for us to see cruiser riders that we've never seen coming with us on curvy ride  ;D.  We realized they were not on our ride as they took an early exit.  The eight of us went on our merry way.
We rode for about 2 hours to Woodsworth(spelling) [near border of west virginia] on I-70E to get to Route 26.  Route 26 has some nice curves and is worth the trip.  We took route 26 for about 80 miles.  The beginning of the route was awful as it was recently paved but not finished. Full of gravel.  Scary.  The rest was beautiful and we were enjoying the curves.  I was second from the lead. Awesome Triumph Bonneville cruiser rider that treats that bike like sport bike.  By 3:15 pm after we took a break, rain started.  Six of the riders bailed out and went back to Columbus from Marietta via highway.  Me on my 620Monster and Triumph Bonneville put on our rain gear and took on Route 555.  It is about 60 miles of curves and corners.  If only the it did not rain.  We took it on but of course slow paced and soaked despite our gear.  Finished the ride around 6pm after a break for a nice meal at A&W at Zanesville.

Washed the bike at the car-wash to get rid of the rain dirt.  Lubed the chain now.  Ready to chill now and be grateful for a very nice Saturday.

We ran a couple of those roads earlier in the year. Beautiful scenery, great roads.
