I saw a guy push start an R1, while sitting on it, doing no more than about .8 miles an hour. Granted, he looked like he'd done this a few times, but I was impressed. It went like this
thumbing the starter whirrr, click whirrr, click <helmet-muffled cursing> push push, click, vroom So, yeah, how hard could it be with four people? It didn't work and it wasn't pretty. My wife, watching from the window, said that (and I quote), "You guys looked like two monkeys trying to make the beast with two backs a football!" Hey at least I didn't drag it across 60 ft of pavement while documenting on video.
