Norton Anti-Cancer
I bet Jeremy Mayfield would be all over E meth [laugh]
I don't get it
what does it do?
The idea is like a glow plug that burns your cig/tobacco at a lower temp.
Studies say that the lower the stuff inside cig's burn the less carcenogenics it causes or some shit...
I had one -- taste a little better actually..
It's not a real cigarette. A buddy of mine has one. You only get nicotine, none of the other stuff that causes cancer.
Nicotine does not cause cancer. It's all the other crap in the preparation of the tobacco that causes cancer.
I think it's a good alternative for someone who is addicted to nicotine but wants to reduce their risk of cancer.

I'd agree.
There are some other chemicals in them though, and while they say they aren't carcinogens I still think quitting completely is a better option.

+1. I'm all for kicking habits that will kill you, but this is not really kicking the habit. It is trading one with known negatives to one with unknown negatives.
Also, I know a guy that has one and it is super toolish. The guy sucks on it constantly and the little light on the front of it is just plain retarded. Chew the gum for pete's sake.
...but the nicotine addiction, and all the associated habits involved in smoking are very tough to beat.
DAMHIK ;)
I`ll just light up another Lucky [thumbsup]

Hhmm
that doesn't make sense
It's backwards
The cooler something burns the more PoIC it makes
PoIC = Products of incomplete combustion = smoke
The hotter something burns the more shit is consumed by the chemical reaction
Hotter fire = less smoke = less shit in your lungs
me thinks its a gimmik
ive seen one in person. its pretty cool? but scary. you burn a nicotine substitute, its actually in liquid form. the glow plug heats up the liquid which turns itinto a white smokey vapor. thats how the smoke comes from.
the liquid itself is dirt cheap, like $5 bucks for a bottle the size of a large eyedropper. however, something that cheap...its gtta have some strange as chemicals that are not regulated in any way shape or form.
Id smoke ciggs or crackpipes before i try that thing. especially if the nicotine liquid was made in china.
it's just one of the lil steps the world is taking to Logans Run
kids play e-simulated outdoor games
mom and dad play e-simulated sex then smoke the e-simulated ciggy
we'll all ride down e-simulated twisty roads
all from the comfort of our padded bubble pods
I plan on be'n a runner

There is no smoke, there is no burning. The light on the front is just that, a light. There is a tiny device inside the cigarette and atomizes the liquid in the filter. There is no smoke, it is atomized water vapor...

I hope that's a rhetorical question. ;)
a couple friends of mine have tried these.
they are pretty cool in RL, at least for the novelty of it... they all went back to smoking the real things, though

+1 no sh*t....
There is absolutely no research on what these things could do to you in the long run. At least none that is published anyways. I was reading about them a few weeks ago. They are supposed to help you deal with some of the ritual habits that come with smoking while delivering a dose of nicotine at the same time. Kind of sounds like treating a heroin addict with methadone, just stupid. They aren't regulated (yet) by the fda, or really anyone for that matter. As things are becoming harder for the tobacco companies, I'm sure they are just trying to come up with new way introduce kids to their products.
I wish these would replace cigarettes. Then I wouldn't have to breathe the make the beast with two backsing secondhand smoke.
I'm gonna get Al Gore on this. I'm pretty sure that cigarette smoke is responsible for 10 percent of global warming (and of course, Gore is responsible for the other 90 percent [laugh] ).

To be e-suave and e-deboner, you'd need the e-pipe.

Agreed. It's not that nicotine is safe. It's that it's very much safer when it's delivered some way that doesn't involve sucking leaf smoke into your lungs.
Personally, I have a hard time recommending this to my patients. It's apparently some sort of carrier liquid that's volatalized to produce the smoky-looking vapor, and I have no idea what's in that crap or whether it belongs in anyone's lungs.
Patches and gum work fine and don't put much of anything in your body except nicotine.
