Hello friends! I am posting on AZDRA first...didn't think I'd do it, but I'm going to sell my 98 900FE! #70 of 300. The last of the carburated Supersports, the last in the Superlight family. Ian Falloon even says "it's destined to be a collectable!" It has under 20K miles and has some scars but hey, I rode it! The machine is sound, has a few mods, and handles like silk. I even have a biposto seat and cowl setup for it that's all painted to match. I just never figured out why? The high pipes leave no place for passenger pegs? I have all receipts on parts and maintenance. This is a really fine machine that's worth a lot more than what it will sell for! Especially to me! Oh yeah...it's the one leaving home as I can't part with my Monster!
Yeah, I know, it doesn't make much sense does it? DG
Wow man, that sucks. Any idea what you're gonna ask for it? Also, do you have any recent pics?
I must be retarded...I can't seem to get a picture to stick? How in the hell do I attach a pic to this reply? Anyway, I'll be taking some recent photos and if I can't get them attached I'll just stick them on a PM. DG
PM me the pics and I'll post them for you...
I'm sure I can't afford it right now...but am interested in the price. Man I would love that bike! It's one of my favs when you roll up on it! 8)

I don't see how you could afford not to buy it. [evil]
Update! I haven't gotten any pics of the FE as I still had a lot of "Greer Mud" packed in all those really tight places. Anyway, I ended up servicing the forks, changed the oil & filter, and finally put a new pair of belts on it! I can't believe I let them go for so long! (I've changed them 3 times on the Monster.) That's the problem with owning more than a single bike...you get stuff mixed up...oh, it's probobly just getting old and forgetful. Really, I've always kept the area clean & adjusted and would never consider running open drives but 17,840 miles has got to be the work of an angel! When off, the horizontal belt looked really good! Still soft and still had tensioner range. The verticle however did show a lot of dry cracking when folded. Good thing it stayed together on that 140mph run from NM into AZ last June! Maybe I'll go to church today? Maybe not.
Doug! You got a price and pic on this thing yet? I think you're stalling. 8)
uh...yeah...stalling for sure. I'm having a real hard time convincing myself to let her go.
I was thinking about $6500, Final Edition #70 with <20K but it's hard to figure. It isn't yet the "collectable" Ian Falloon says it will become.
I have pics....several places too...just not on here!
Why do I find this so hard to do?
Stop shaking your heads at me!

Hey, don't feel bad. Technology isn't easy.
If it would help, I could bring over my 4-year-old son, he taught our 2-year-old how to update her facebook account with photos of her favorite dolly. He's a really good teacher.
Gee Dad, that sounds like child labor/exploitation? What's the going rate?
Doug - If you email a couple pics I'll post 'em up and then show you how.
Wait - did you say you have them online in other places? Point us to 'em and we can post them here from there.... :)

Well, he usually just takes whatever toy she's playing with ... so that would be the "going rate" I guess.
There were a few pics of it online from the old Desert Ducatisti page but that website is gone! :p
Doug..you love that bike. How? Why?!
;)
spending more than earning...got myself in a little hole and ....you know.
PICS!

Thanx Dietrich, and she's really BIG too! Is that my fault for not compressing the photos enough before I sent them to you?
Wow, NADA has the average retail at $3800. No way I would sell it for that...
I don't know anything about NADA but the dealership that sold it as new in 98 offered the KBB price....$5725. It's still in my garage!
