I didn't feel like spending another few hundred on a new fancy red clutch plate so I decide to paint mine... Picts.

It should hold up.
What do you think?
Wow! I didn't think a DIY job would look so good. What did you use on the Ducati logo? I think I'll have to follow your example! [cheeky] [thumbsup]
I used masking tape and a super sharp exact-o knife. After I painted the plate red I had my wife (who has a steady hand) paint the ducati logo in yellow with a thin paint brush. She then touched up the messed up red parts with a brush as well.

what a good woman!
nice job!
Looks good...
I was in the same boat (didnt feel like spending cash on a aftermarket one) so I just had my stock plate powdercoated with the rest of my parts...
Yup, painted my stock PP black a while ago...
thanks everyone.
BTW... Does anyone know how to reset the maintenance light on the HUD? It went in for service but they forgot to reset the light.
nice job. looks good. just saved you a couple of Benjamins.
the PP should hold up for quite a while if you cleaned it well prior to painting.
