what do you think about this product? it's $30 just for 2 bolts but this is the only one I can find
how hard is the job?
First of, this is only for older (hoop-style) monsters. What bike do you have?
Second, this not only elevates your seat but also changes the geometry of your bike. It will handle differently.
forget what you look like on your bike in the mirror.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ON YOU BIKE WITHOUT LOOKING IN THE MIRROR?
^^^^+1
Plus, it says (and I doubt this) that it raises the rear height 3 inches. I'm 6'4" with a 34" inseam and I can't think of any bike I've ever been on (save a tiny Buell) that would be tolerable at 3" above stock.
Your better off with adjustable foot pegs.

mine is 2000 m900. it looks like the one on ebay.
I guess it's very ghetto diy? lol
I replaced the OEM male rod-ends with longer Aurora female rod-ends that connect to my suspension hoop with short lengths of threaded rods. I could have gained even more additional ride height by unscrewing the rod ends, but didn't find it necessary to do so.

I think 28$ is a bit much but they work great

Don't think they are 3 inch but 3cm
What year and Monster are you running?
I'm 6'1, too and have no issues with how I look on my Monsters. I even had a 620 Monster. I did install a 999 ride height rod on it. She sat very high in the rear. I now have an S2R and S4R with 5 threads showing on both ends of the height rod, on both bikes.... I love the way my bike feels and would not trade it for anything else. I also weigh in at 230 fyi.
Here I am on my S4RS:

+1 on worry about the handling not the look. I'm 6'4 275 and I am sure I look like a grizzly riding a tricycle (or a gorilla make the beast with two backsing a football) when I ride, but who cares. The bike has been properly resprung and set up for me by DucPond and it rides great.
I installed them about a month ago and I think that at 6'1" the bike is a little more comfortable. It seems as though the ride is a little stiffer, and the handling is different... but better imo. The first pic is without the adjusters, the second is with. Just my .02

how hard is the job? :)
Pretty easy... An extra set of hands is helpful. I suspended the rear end from the ceiling with some ratchet straps and 30 minutes later you're good to go. [thumbsup]
Are there no more of these? I was thinking about raising the rear on mine some more.
I have an extra pair of rod ends and some threaded rod, if you want to go the route that I did.
